In some surprising news tonight, the BBC is reporting that Jenson Button and his manager Richard Goddard today visited the McLaren factory in Woking as guests of Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh. We can only guess what they discussed, however Button has in previous weeks been known to be looking for a drive with the team, looking to drive the “best car available”.
Button is known to be having trouble re-signing with current team Brawn GP – asking for a pay packet that the team don’t want to meet.
Button alongside Kimi Raikkonen are both strong favourites to race for the team in 2010. If Button does join the Woking-based team, it will give them two British drivers, both World Champions.
